About the Author

Being involved in Business Intelligence is a fascinating ride.

I’ve found myself in situations ranging from implementing and optimising complex ETL loading processes; right across to meeting high level Sales Executives to discuss corporate strategy. (Occasionally in the same day!)

What I’ve realised in my 8 years of Microsoft BI consulting, is that the one extreme is very dependant on the other. Executives can’t run a business without reliable numbers. ETL developers would be out of work if there weren’t so many diverse (a.k.a. dodgy) source systems out there. It’s a wonderful continuum.

This Blog is one of my outlets to share my lessons learnt, vent about some frustrations, and generally communicate with the world.

When I’m not doing geeky work related things, I find myself either playing with my 2 little ones, behind my piano piecing together tunes, or generally enjoying life in Sydney.
